I have been a financial journalist for 18 years since graduating with an MA from the University of St Andrews.
I worked for six years at MoneyWeek covering all aspects of personal finance and investing. I then moved to become the deputy editor of Moneywise where I edited articles, commissioned work and wrote features on everything from funerals to gold.
Since 2013 I've worked as a freelance financial and property journalist writing regularly for The Mail on Sunday, The Sunday Times, The Times, Good Housekeeping, Moneywise, MoneyWeek and many more publications.
I also provide copywriting services for several corporate clients including Experian, HomeOwners Alliance and Royal London.
